Meet Natalie, the Intuitive Coach Building a Community That Helps People Gain Clarity and Live a More Fulfilled Life.
Natalie has always wanted to start a paid community since she formally launched her business, Transform with Natalie, in 2019, but her main challenges have been defining the details of her community and managing her group members. In this week’s creator spotlight, we dive into Natalie’s journey on how she started her business and how she’s building a community of people who are manifesting a more fulfilling life.
Tell me a little bit about Transform with Natalie
Okay, this brand started as Alchemy Consult and over the years, it has evolved. As far back as I can remember, I have always created content around personal development on Facebook. I even had an NGO that organized programs and training around topics like goal setting and building confidence.
As I was growing, I realized that I wanted to create a niche for myself so I took a couple of trainings and got a few certifications on subjects like Emotional Freedom Technique and Neuro-linguistic programming. After this, I decided to officially start Transform with Natalie in 2019 where I help people heal, transform and manifest a more fulfilling life.
That sounds fantastic. Before you discovered Groupify, how were you monetizing your business?
I primarily offered one-on-one coaching sessions, I have also had a few one-off paid classes and while that was effective, I wanted to create a group coaching program, a community where people could come together, learn more, motivate themselves and support each other. My major struggle with executing this was figuring out the whole flow of the community. The major problems were how to manage the people joining the community, and how to track payments and the thoughts were just overwhelming. That’s why I was excited about Groupify.
Nice, How did you first come across Groupify and what intrigued you about the platform?
Groupify is an absolute game-changer! I actually found out about it when I joined another community that was hosted with Groupify. As I mentioned earlier, I was still trying to figure out what the flow of my community would look like, so when I joined that community and I saw how easy joining the community was, it caught my attention and I had to check it out.
There was really no point wasting time again, it felt like the piece I was missing, so I signed up and created my community immediately.
What difference has this paid community made in your business?
It has made a whole lot of difference. First, clients who didn’t want to make a huge commitment with the 1–1 coaching without experiencing what working with me feels like now have the opportunity to join my community and experience working with me, then they can now proceed to pay for the 1–1 coaching. So it serves as a point of entry into my services.
Then as a coach, the recurring revenue is great. So instead of having to constantly launch products and trying to constantly get clients, you can now have a guaranteed monthly recurring income. For my clients and me, this paid community has been a win-win.
Do you want to talk about how much you have made so far?
Haha, I’d prefer not to but like I mentioned, the fact that you are sure that there’s a recurring income every month/quarter that can serve as a safety net is so much easier than trying to launch products and getting clients always. I can confidently say that having a paid community is worth it.
Amazing! So what’s your favorite feature on Groupify?
Can I say everything? Overall, it’s how seamless Groupify has made the whole process of managing members. From when they join to how they automatically get reminders to how they are removed from the group when they miss a payment. This whole thing has reduced a lot of administrative tasks on my end allowing me to focus on building the community.
0–10, how will you rate Groupify?
8! I am enjoying it so far but I don’t want you guys to relax with the updates, so it’s an 8 because I think it can be better.
Love it! Does this mean that you’ll be happy to refer people to Groupify for their paid community?
I already do that. For a lot of people who are starting out with their first community, the worry is always how to manage their community and while you can get an assistant for this, using Groupify is just an easier way out and who doesn’t love easy?
Based on your experience, what advice would you give to fellow coaches looking to create a thriving coaching community with Groupify?
Although I am still growing and navigating a few things, my advice would be to start by clarifying the purpose and goals of your coaching community. Understand the problem you’re solving and the value you’re providing. Also, focus on the specifics of what your group is offering, so that when people see your landing page, after one read, they can see what they’ll be getting and be excited to join immediately.
